For starters, my portfolio site here is an example of a custom website coded by hand using Bootstrap, CSS3, and jQuery. The site is responsive on all devices and the slideshow is a custom jQuery plugin I developed.

The site was designed by me on Adobe XD, and was intended to be a fresh break from all the watered down template websites that flood the internet. How refreshing! Overall this was a wonderful experience for me to follow my vision for a site from the ground up.

I managed the project for the online TV show's platform from the Television Network: The Africa Channel. This required a complete customized Wordpress site developed from the ground up using Visual Composer custom CSS and Javascript.

In addition, we developed two customized web apps that allows users to search for ethnic recipes and restaurants. We created two custom pages that utilize PHP and Javascript to communicate with the Yummly and Yelp APIs.

I worked alongside the excellent professor and graphic designer, Benjamin Woodlock, on customizing the online store for his series of boutique custom webfonts. I was responsible for developing his custom typesetter (according to his specs and design) in place for the customers to preview each font. Feel free to play around on the fully responsive interface and click, slide, type through each font, style, and size. This was a very unique and exciting project to be apart of!

Worked on-site with the 'Echo-Trading' start-up Perfectna on a full-scale development of their platform. It was a pleasure working for an extremely proactive and ambitious team at a company that is at the forefront of stock trading technology.

My duties required me to work closely alongside the team's graphic designer to develop a web-page that was pixel-identical to the mockup I was given. I also worked directly under the teams engineer to provide JQuery & Angular frames that fit the functionality of the website.

One of my favorite projects I worked on while at Education Management Systems was the website for the companies construction/maintenence division Lupine Properties. We started from the ground up by approving the mockups with the Lupine team before I implemented a full Wordpress development. I was responsible for developing a pixel-identical site with custom functionality made via JQuery.

Options For Learning Options For Youth

During my time as media specialist and web developer at Education Management Systems I was responsible for managing the entirity of the company's web presence. This means I worked large amounts of sites in various styles since the company had so many different departments. Two examples of this are the companies for profit school sites; Options for Learning, and their non-profit school sites; Options for Youth.

Completed the entire re-design development for SoCal based construction company Imac Construction. Worked alongside the client to develop a clean Wordpress site from scratch that effectively displayed their vast array of projects.

Completed a re-design and full update/maitenence for the indepdent contractor site of French architect Luc Peltier. In this instance I worked within the Squarespace CMS to match Luc's vision and my professional opinion. This project was unique because I got truly collaborate with Luc on what his goals for his small business thus defining the appropriate design.

For this project I performed a full-scale migration plus theme customizations for the LA-based music blog: The Burning Ear. The site reached some legal trouble when some record labels notified his hosting of some mp3s that were posted without permission. We we're forced to migrate the site to new hosting in a weeks time. The site had over 9 years of content therefore the process was very long. Switching hosting also caused some new issues with plugins and broken links that required extensive troubleshooting.

Vinyl Moon is an affiliate website to The Burning Ear in which recipients recieve a Vinyl playlist every month with a subscription. I worked extensively with a purchased Wordpress theme to get Ecommerce plugins and online forms in place.
